In l967, he became a highly thought of programmer director at radio stations in formats as diverse as CHR, Country, AOR, Classic Rock and Oldies. Some of those stations included stops at: WMAQ/WKQX in Chicago, The Big 8/CKLW in Detroit, WIFI in Philadelphia, WKLO in Lousiville, WNHC in New Haven and WNDE in Indianapolis as well as serving as National PD for Rahall Broadcasting.

Then in 1981, Bill founded Bill Hennes & Associates and he began consulting key radio stations and broadcast companies in large, medium and small markets in CHR, Country, Classic Rock and Oldies. Bill consulted stations owned by Federated Media, Beasley, Inkstad, Verstandig, and many more.


Because Bill, is a forward thinker, in 2000 he saw that the Internet was the coming technology, and he founded and launched the highly successful web site AllAboutCountry.com.
